A Fast Fix to Feel Better When You’re Burned Out with this twist on the 333 Principle (Video Transcript)
Recover from burnout with this twist on the 333 principle, burnout happens when you’re spending too much time in the weeds, in the mundane of the day to day, and not enough time feeling accomplished and working towards your ultimate goals.
This twist on the 333 principle is something I use for myself and my clients, in order to be sure our days are designed in a way that is going to align with a life that you love.
I’m Allison Graham, and my hope is to help you solve problems faster so you can take control of your stress and design a life you love.
So the first 3 in our 333 principle is three minutes a day of gratitude. And this doesn’t have to be a complex meditation practice or quiet time. Stack your gratitude onto something you’re already doing that takes about three minutes. So brushing your teeth, washing your face, doing your makeup, driving out of your driveway, whatever it is, three minutes of gratitude stacked on top of something, it’ll give you a great foundation to start your day.
Next 3 is, what are the three things that need to happen today in order to move my life, my career, my company, forward in a way that will feel satisfying? What are those priorities and when am I going to get them done? Focus on three, this has been a powerful exercise for me and my clients, because what happens is, you can actually get more done in less time. Very exciting.
And the last 3 in this 333, twist of a principle is, every three hours, take a break and see if you’re on track, because you know your days, you can just kind of get sucked into whatever is happening. But if you set an alarm to check in every three hours, you still have time to get your day back on track and accomplish those initial three priorities that you assigned for the day.
Actually, I’m going to give you one bonus, one every three days. Take three hours away from technology, and do something that is going to either really make you feel in flow or grounded or taken care of, or connect monthly with someone in your life for three hours every three days.
And if you don’t have three hours every three days to do something that is going to make you feel happy beyond just work, chances are we need to talk. Click the link in the description below, and you can explore my coaching opportunities.
